The AUDE Awards 2017

Aude Spotlight

The Association of University Directors of Estates (AUDE) are proud to announce on the 11 April 2017 they will be hosting the third AUDE Awards for those in Higher Education Estates and Facilities.  The Awards will honour the best of the best in the higher education industry and celebrate the exceptional achievements of those working within Estate Management.

2017 marks AUDE’s 25th year in promoting excellence in the strategic planning, management, operation and development of higher education estates and facilities. The annual AUDE Awards is just one of the ways AUDE continues to support best practice in University Estates and Facilities.

The judges will be looking for teams, projects and individuals who have made a significant contribution to enhancing quality and ensuring university estates provide best value to support the institutional mission of promoting professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness.

The Awards provide an excellent opportunity to showcase sector achievements and allows everyone to demonstrate and learn from the very best practice taking place in HE institutions today.

AUDE Chair, Trevor Humphreys said, “The AUDE awards provide an opportunity to showcase the tangible benefits of excellent estates management which benefits both students and staff and contributes to the sustainability of universities in a tough climate.

“Last year saw a significant volume of high quality submissions form those across the sector. The judging panel had a tough job in picking the eventual winner in each category and there were a number of highly commended entrants too. We are certain that this year we will again receive plenty of high quality submissions.

“The AUDE Awards are a chance to celebrate the excellent work that members do across all aspects of estates and facilities and so I want to encourage as many colleagues as possible to submit their entries.”

The awards consist of four prestigious categories:

·         The AUDE Estates/Facilities Team of the Year Award

For exceptional team working leading to significant achievement.

·         The AUDE University Impact Initiative of the Year Award

This award seeks to recognise a specific initiative having a significant positive impact on the institution, the sector and/or the profession.
